Jose Torres, M.Ed., LPC is licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Licensed Professional Counselors. Jose received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Houston- Main Campus in 2008. Jose earned his Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Houston- Main Campus in 2017. Jose completed his graduate training at Family Time Crisis Counseling Center under the supervision of Kimberly L. Boyd, M.S., LPC-S.
Jose has a long experience working with non-profit organizations in Texas. Jose has spent the last 7 years working with adults and mental health disorders in Harris County. He also spent 2 years working with adolescents and at-risk youth that reside in “colonias.”
Jose is bilingual and focuses on multicultural issues, grief processing, suicide prevention, mental health education, social justice awareness, end of life planning, mood disorders, adolescence, early adulthood, self-esteem & assertiveness.
