Amy Moreno is a master’s level Graduate Student Intern at Kimberly Boyd Counseling Center. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University, working towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. Amy earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing with a minor in Applied Ethics from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she graduated with honors. Amy furthered her business education with an MBA from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. She spent her previous career as a hospital administrator, drawn to helping people as her mission. Amy is a member of the American Counseling Association and is currently practicing under the supervision of Brianna Roberts, M.A., LPC.

Amy enjoys working with any age group: children, adolescents, young adults, mid-life adults and seniors. Some areas of specialty are: PTSD/ trauma, motherless daughters, complex family dynamics, grief/ loss, depression/ anxiety, spiritual issues, elder and senior care. She can offer a Christian perspective, if needed.

Amy is passionate about helping people during any phase of life. She practices person-centered counseling, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and building a strong therapeutic relationship. Amy would be honored to help you on your pathway to healing.
