Chelsea is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Licensed Professional Counselors. Chelsea Clark received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Houston – Downtown. Since then, she has earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, with sub-specialization in Counseling (CACREP Accredited program) from Walden University. She is a member in good standing with the American Counseling Association (ACA). She is also a member of Psi Chi, the Psychology International Honor Society.

Chelsea’s counseling approaches and techniques are client-centered, and she utilizes eclectic and integrative techniques tailored to client’s needs. Her belief is that the client is the expert of their own life and knows what they want and need because each journey is different. She believes in creating an atmosphere where clients can communicate their feelings with confidence and know that they are being understood and not judged. Chelsea believes the client plays an active role in their healing to allow for the greatest amount of growth and progress. She also uses different techniques intended to challenge cognitive distortions and negative thinking patterns to facilitate healing and help the client to better understand themselves and how they play a part in the healing process.

A short snippet of her previous experience with clients includes, but is not limited to processing emotions, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation and attempts, self-harm, interpersonal conflicts, marital conflicts, grief, post-traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and more. She has experience working with clients from a variety of multicultural backgrounds and is open to working with individuals of all ages, couples, and families.
