Chezzadi Keelen is a Professional School Counselor who holds a master’s in education. She feels that helping children is just not enough; her ultimate goal is to make a difference in the lives of individuals of all ages. Chezzadi believes that she has an ethical and professional responsibility to guide individuals, of all walks of life, down a mentally healthy path. She is a current member of the American Counseling Association and the Texas Counseling Association. Chezzadi is currently practicing under the supervision of Kimberly Boyd, M.S., LPC-S.

Chezzadi provides counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families that are facing challenges such as stress, grief, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem, depression, relationship issues, anger management, and/or cultural issues/identities. She also has enhanced knowledge on working with individuals who are experiencing sociocultural issues. She prides herself on being culturally competent, compassionate, empathetic, and a great communicator who creates a space where clients feel emotionally safe. She believes that healing can take place in a non-judgmental environment where clients are able to express themselves and share their feelings. Therefore, Chezzadi thrives on building a therapeutic alliance with each client in an effort to help them achieve their ultimate goals.

Chezzadi believes that no one counseling technique or strategy is better than the other. So, her counseling approach is based on a combination of Solution Focused Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Play Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
