Kayce Morgan earned her Master of Education degree in Counseling and Development at Lamar University. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Houston Clear Lake. Upon graduating she worked as an Adult Probation Office in Liberty County as well as a facilitator for DWI, drug offender and youth tobacco awareness classes for the state of Texas. Kayce is a Licensed Professional Counseling (LPC-associate) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). Kayce is a member in good standing of both the American Counseling Association and the Texas Counseling Association. She is currently practicing under the supervision of Kimberly Boyd, M.S., LPC-S.

Kayce is passionate about helping others find their path to freedom and contentment. She desires to assist people to work through their struggles and learn healthy coping methods and techniques. Kayce views her role as a counselor as a collaborative working relationship with the client to help integrate professional knowledge, research, and evidence-based practices to aid the client in meeting their therapeutic goals. Kayce takes an eclectic approach to help clients find their way toward their needs and/or goals in life. Whether dealing with internal, external, or multiple struggles and pains, each client needs individualized treatment. Kayce strives to understand what each client is struggling with and needs and work with them to devise the best treatment plan to help them to better enjoy their lives. She firmly believes that clients cannot be treated in a cookie-cutter fashion. This is where pulling from multiple theoretical viewpoints and continuing to learn and study research in the field of counseling can better prepare Kayce to be of service to her clients.

Kayce’s areas of interest include depression, anxiety, substance abuse and chemical dependency, and eating disorders. She has experience working with pre-teens, adolescents, and adults who struggle with childhood trauma, anger management, stress and coping skills, grief, trauma, PTSD, work-life balance, anxiety, depression, body image, self-esteem, ADHD, communication skills, self-harm behaviors, addiction, and suicidal risk/crisis.

Kayce enjoys life by spending time with her family, dog, six parakeets, and six chickens. Camping, biking, swimming, fishing, and cooking are some of her favorite pastimes. Her faith, friends, and family are what keep her focused and push her to want to help others to find ways to enjoy their lives as well.
