LaStacie Alexander-Johnson

LaKeshia Baker

My name is LaStacie Alexander-Johnson, though most know me as Stacie. I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) and an LPC-Associate supervised by Kimberly Boyd, M.S. My passion lies in helping individuals overcome challenges, heal from past traumas, and build fulfilling lives.

With a background that includes public education in the K-12 setting and multiple years in the U.S. Army, I bring a unique perspective and unwavering commitment to my work. As a proud disabled veteran, I am especially dedicated to supporting veterans and their families, individuals struggling with substance abuse, PTSD, and adjustment disorders.

In my practice, I utilize a blend of evidence-based therapy approaches tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address thought patterns, Solution-Focused Therapy to emphasize strengths and achievable goals, and Motivational Interviewing to empower clients to make meaningful changes.

In addition to my work at Kimberly Boyd Counseling Center, I serve as a high school academic counselor at an alternative school near Houston, TX. I work with students facing significant academic hurdles, behavior challenges, and substance misuse/abuse. I am also pursuing a Doctorate in Community Care and Counseling, focusing on Traumatology, at Liberty University, which will allow me to enhance my skills and knowledge.

Originally from Texas, with family roots in Lafayette, Louisiana, I am a proud mother of two daughters who motivate me daily. When I’m not working or studying, you’ll likely find me riding my motorcycle or spending time with loved ones.

I believe in the power of counseling to transform lives and am honored to walk alongside my clients as they grow, heal, and thrive.
