Liliana Valdez's priorities are the safety, confidentiality, and wellness of her clients. Through a strong counselor-client relationship, the client will achieve self-awareness and achieve desired changed behaviors. The counselor uses different approaches including Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. Liliana’s focus is on developing and assisting youth reach their goals, get a deeper understanding of oneself, and encourages a close family unit of support for her clients. She has experience treating youth with mental health issues including self-harm, suicide ideation, grief, trauma, abuse, anxiety, and depression as well as behavior disorders such as ADHD, ODD and PTSD.

Liliana Valdez earned a Bilingual Generalist Bachelor’s Degree and a Master of Education with a minor in Play Therapy from Sam Houston State University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor- Associate and under the supervision of Kimberly Boyd, M.S., LPC-S.

Liliana is bilingual and a culturally inclusive counselor. She has been a teacher and school counselor and has focused her career on the success of children’s achievement of academic, educational, and social-emotional success including the development of a family unit to provide support to youth.
