MaryBeth Hoover

MaryBeth earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix and her Bachelor degree in Music Education at Tennessee Technological University. Before counseling, MaryBeth worked in a variety of educational roles and as an advocate for youth in the foster care system. These professional experiences strengthen her understanding of child development, trauma, and parenting challenges in her work as a play therapist and in her work with adolescents. Navigating life can be challenging, and she is passionate about helping you improve your mental health, strengthen relationships, and adapt to life changes. If you have found yourself struggling with anxiety and depression, she can address root causes with you and develop coping strategies. MaryBeth strives to join you in your healing process by creating a non-judgmental, collaborative environment. MaryBeth utilizes approaches from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Restoration Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She integrates Christian counseling into treatment for clients who desire that approach.
