Roxanne is a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands, completing her practicum and internship under the supervision of Savannah Burke, LPC-S. Roxanne’s approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered, with a strong commitment to cultural sensitivity, ethical care, and personal growth. With a PhD in Organizational Psychology, Roxanne brings a holistic understanding of human behavior and well-being to her clinical work. She integrates mind-body wellness practices along with evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-guided self-exploration and expression.
Roxanne also has extensive training and research experience in obesity and bariatric wellness. This background allows her to support clients with compassion and evidence-based guidance as they navigate weight-related challenges, identity shifts, and long-term wellness goals. She strives to create a supportive, encouraging environment where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped to move toward healing and lasting growth. She welcomes working with clients of all ages across the lifespan from infants to elders and across all body types and identities.
