Sam Wegman received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Walden University in 2013. Sam earned his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health from CACREP accredited Walden University in 2018. Sam worked as chemical dependency counselor Intern in 2014 and specialized with trauma/crisis counseling since 2018. He is a member in good standing with the American Counseling Association (ACA) and awarded member at National Society of Leadership and Success. Sam is a credited from National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). Sam is Licensed Professional Counselor in state of Texas .

Sam's counseling approaches and techniques are client-centered, and he utilizes eclectic and integrative techniques costumed to the individual’s needs. His belief is that the client’s issue can be a product of unhealthy environment that might begin in childhood. He believes in creating an environment where clients can utilize communication skills to express their feelings with confidence and self-awareness.

Sam believes the client plays an active role in their healing to allow for the greatest amount of growth and progress. He also uses different techniques intended to challenge cognitive distortions and thinking errors to facilitate healing and help the client to better understand themselves and how they play a part in the healing process.

Sam has experience in marriage and premarital counseling, as well as, experience in treating substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and anger management.

He has special experience working with end-of-life / mortality counseling and terminal illness clients. Sam also has experience in working with those that suffer from grief and loss. Sam is passionate about helping people to reclaim their positive energy and hope in life
