Shelby is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (License #92166) with the Texas Board of Examiners of Licensed Professional Counselors under the supervision of Kimberly L. Boyd, M.S., CHPC, LPC-S. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Sam Houston State University in December 2012 and her Master of Education degree in School Counseling from Sam Houston State University in May 2023. She is a current member in good standing of the American Counseling Association.
Shelby is a certified Texas School Counselor (Grades EC-12) and has previously worked in public education as a teacher for 5 years. She is a passionate advocate for mental health and wellness who has a passion for working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her focus is a collaborative approach that combines the techniques of person-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy to help each individual obtain what they need in a supportive and understanding environment.
Shelby is driven to build authentic relationships with clients to employ their strengths and cultivate self-awareness to help them sort out their challenges and attain their goals.
