Trisha utilizes a holistic perspective of wellness and believes in caring for all dimensions of the self that interact as a whole. She encourages clients to increase the connection between their mind, body and spirit. Trisha’s counseling approach is Person-centered, honoring the client’s individuality and autonomy in treatment. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, somatic interventions, and expressive arts techniques are also used selectively to meet the unique needs of the client.
Trisha values empathy and a genuine therapeutic relationship, striving to create an environment that feels safe to explore and express thoughts and emotions without judgment. She practices from a culturally sensitive and trauma informed lens, assisting clients in becoming empowered to make positive changes aligned with their highest and most authentic self. Her aim is to support clients in building a sense of safety and trust in themselves to overcome challenges that impact their wellbeing. Trisha collaborates with clients to set goals and walks alongside them in their journey towards healing and growth.
Trisha Rojas is licensed by the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Trisha earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Sam Houston State University and Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. She has gained counseling experience in nonprofit and private practice environments, working with clients from diverse backgrounds. She enjoys helping individuals of all ages, monogamous/ non monogamous relationships, families and groups. Trisha is especially passionate about supporting marginalized and multicultural populations, along with survivors of intimate partner violence. Trisha provides counseling services to clients with various concerns including, but not limited to: self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, communication, grief, anger, codependency, cultural issues/identity, eating disorders, relationship issues and life stress/transitions.
