Vivia Brown

vivia Vivia M. Brown is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (License #93793) working under the supervision of Maggie Chlebana, MS, LPC-S. She is a National Board-Certified Counselor and a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate from Liberty University. 

Vivia is a lifelong learner with a strong interest in mental health. She believes that everyone is inherently good and has the skills necessary to develop and better themselves. 

Vivia is interested in working with individuals, couples, military members, LGBT, and adolescents. Vivia believes in utilizing an integrative counseling approach to achieve mental wellness. 

Vivia is a 26-year military veteran who has served, led, and cared for others. This opportunity has prepared her to be resilient and given her experience working in high-stress situations. She brings her multicultural awareness experience and a wealth of knowledge working with high stressed individuals to navigate and overcome tough challenges while producing results. 

Her interests include volunteering, spending time with her family, and looking for ways to learn and grow. Her philosophy is that you are the captain of your ship. Therefore, you set the course and direction you seek. Her favorite quote from Nelson Mandela is "it always seems impossible until done." 

Her professional organizations include the American Counseling Association, the Texas Counseling Association, The Association of Child and Adolescent Counseling, and the American Mental Health Counselors Association.

Vivia is practicing under the supervision of Maggie Chlebana, M.S., LPC of the Kimberly Boyd Counseling Center.
